About Us
The Leimert Park Village Book Fair is the largest African American book fair on the west coast. It is centered in one of the most historic and cultural areas of Los Angeles. Recognized as one of LA’s best annual book festivals, Cultural Hub, the fair was founded in 2007 in partnership with Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs as well as the City and County of Los Angeles. Today, with the leadership of Honorary Chairpersons and renowned art collectors, Bernard W. and Shirley Kinsey, the book fair has become a lively cultural tradition in the community of Los Angeles providing authors and aspiring writers the opportunity to share their latest works and engage their fans up close and personal. This premier family event also hosts special events, panels discussions, poetry readings, exhibitions, kid activities, cooking stage entertainment and much more.
